The Suggestion Box in the back of the Sanctuary is available as a way of telling
us about someone’s need without having to identify you.
Please provide their name, address and phone number (which will not be
identified without the recipient’s permission).
The Homeless Shelter sponsored by the Onslow Community Ministries (OCM) is in
dire need of financial help. If
their needs are not met, they may have to close their doors to the needy. You
may contribute through Calvary please note how much should be designated for the
Homeless Shelter
The Soup Kitchen is feeling the pinch of rising gas prices for the Out Reach
trucks. There are presently two
delivering daily meals in excess of 100 meals a day.
Please think of them.
The continuing need for
canned goods also needs our attention.
The “Shelves” never get too full.
We are appealing to you to pick up an extra can of food when you shop and
bring it to church. They will be
kept in our kitchen area until our next scheduled volunteer week of
9 to13 June.
Smooth Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly are always a welcome gift.
The two are blended together and spread on 100s of sandwiches a day.
Crunchy PB is a favorite of mine, but it doesn’t spread quite as easily.
Watch for the Soup Kitchen Volunteer Sign Up
Sheet for June on the back table in mid May.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave
me something to drink, I needed clothes and you clothed.
I was sick and you looked after me.”
Matthew 25:35-36
